Connecting a MAC to Sharp Printers

MAC Printer installation Instructions

Download the driver and install it before you begin.     Click here to download the driver .

** Click Download and double click the .dmg file that downloads to install that package and accept any prompts that appear**

• Select the Apple (upper left) on menu bar.   (Depending on the OS version you will see System Preferences or System Settings.)

•  Select System Settings/Preferences

•  Select Printers and Scanners.   When the pop up appears, select add the printer. Click the plus sign + to add a printer

• The next window is where you will fill out the information to install the printer. Click on the Globe and this will take you to where you need to enter the info. 

• This is where you fill in the info. The IP Address will work for everyone. The Queue name you will need to know the name of the new printer. This will also be the printer’s Name. Printer Names and Locations can be found Here.
• You will see a drop-down box below beside USE.  Follow next step . .

• On the opposite side where it says Use there is a drop down. Choose select software. Select the model printer you will be printing too. The printer model may be different than the one in the screen shot. See screenshots below. Click ADD you may be prompted for your machine password. Enter that if you encounter that.
