Only staff and faculty can access the VPN.
- In the web browser, type in the address https://tunnel.desales.edu You will see GlobalProtect Portal pop up where you will need to use your MyDSU credentials. Name is your Windows Username: last name first initial. Password is your MyDSU password.
- Download the version of the VPN that works for your computer.
(For a Windows computer, if you don’t know whether your computer is 32 or 64 bit, click on the Start button, then type System.The System Information screen will open.On the first page you will see System Type and it will say either x32 or x64 based PC).
- You will see the program downloading.
- Once downloaded, click the file name to start the install wizard. Click Next to start the installation. The installer will guide you through the steps required for installation. Click Next.
- At Select Installation Folder, click Next.
- At Confirm Installation, click Next. At this point you will see the installation bar start. When it is finished, click the Close button.
- On Windows machines, in the System tray at the bottom right hand of your screen, you will see the GlobalProtect box open. It will say Welcome to GlobalProtect and ask for your portal address. Type in: tunnel.desales.edu then click Connect.
- You will be prompted for your DeSales credentials. Here enter your username (lastnamefirstinitial) and password then click Sign In.
- You should then see the Connected message.
