RESNET will provide you access to a variety of resources locally such as the MyDSU Portal and access to the Internet. Generally, you will access the network through a wireless connection on your personally-owned computer. You will connect to the DESALES wireless network and at the time of connection, will register your device using their MyDSU username and password. There is also one wired Ethernet connection available in each Residence Hall room for devices that do not have a wireless connection such as desktop computers and gaming systems. The DeSales Entertainment network connection is available for gaming and streaming media systems; this is initiated by a Help Desk request.
Connecting to RESNET is usually a straightforward process but if you are not able to do so, contact the University Help Desk at x4357, via online chat or at helpdesk@desales.edu. After generating a help request, you will be contacted by IT Staff to assist with connection issues. IT Staff does not support student-owned hardware and software, although student workers are available in the Academic Computing Center (ACC) in Dooling Hall during some evening times to provide best effort assistance.
