New Password Not Working

Browsers allow you to save passwords.  Passwords are stored in the Browsers Password Manager.  Depending on your Browser, the passwords are saved in various locations.

Most people have an account and sign in to their Browser.   Location of where the Passwords are stored for our recommended Browsers (Chrome, Firefox or Edge) are as follows:

  • Chrome -  Click the 3 dots on the upper right corner.  Select Settings.  On the left, select Autofill and Passwords.  In the middle of page select Google Password Manager (you may need to enter your password for your computer to continue.   Scroll down your saved accounts until you find DeSales.edu.   It is safe to delete all DeSales accounts if you have more than one.  The link that saves your password for the MyDSU is adfs.desales.edu
  • Firefox -  Click the 3 dashes in the upper right corner.  Select Passwords (they make it easy).  Scroll down your saved accounts until you find DeSales.edu.   It is safe to delete all DeSales accounts if you have more than one.  The link that saves your password for the MyDSU is adfs.desales.edu
  • Edge -  Click the 3 dots on the upper right corner.  Select Profiles.  In the middle of the page you will see Passwords.  Scroll down your saved accounts until you find DeSales.edu.   It is safe to delete all DeSales accounts if you have more than one.  The link that saves your password for the MyDSU is adfs.desales.edu

                     No matter which browser you use, delete the password saved for adfs.desales.edu

 

How Do I Know If My Password is Auto Filling?

If your Browser auto completes your log in credentials, It needs cleared!   This is also a good time to clear your Cache and temporary internet files.    See article Clearing Cache and Cookies to delete all your temporary internet files.
