Change My Password

Before resetting your password, you must first set up two-factor authentication (2FA). If you have not completed this step yet, please follow the instructions in the article below:

Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication

Once 2FA is set up, you can reset your password by following these steps:

  1. Log in to MyDSU.
  2. Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select View Account.
  4. In the left-side menu, click Change Password.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. Re-enter the password to confirm it.
  7. Click Submit.

If your password meets all requirements, you will receive a confirmation message.

Password Requirements

Your password must:

  • Be at least 12 characters long
  • Meet at least 3 of the following requirements:
    • Contain at least 1 uppercase letter
    • Contain at least 1 lowercase letter
    • Contain at least 1 number
    • Contain at least 1 special character
  • Not contain your username
  • Not match any of your previous 12 passwords
