Overview
When you record a Microsoft Teams meeting, the recording is automatically saved to Microsoft OneDrive or SharePoint, depending on how the meeting was scheduled. You can easily access and share these recordings with other members of DeSales University.
Where Teams Meeting Recordings Are Saved

🧭 How to Locate a Teams Meeting Recording
A. For Channel Meetings (in Microsoft Teams)

Open Microsoft Teams and select the Team and Channel where the meeting was held.

Click the Files tab.

Open the Recordings folder. Your meeting recording will appear here.
B. For Non-Channel Meetings (in OneDrive)

Open OneDrive via portal.office.com or through your OneDrive desktop app.

Log in with your DSU Credentials (E-mail & Password)

Navigate to the Recordings folder in the left-hand menu. You may have to click on My Files in the left-hand menu, then locate the Recordings folder.

Find the recording based on the meeting name or date.

🔗 How to Share a Teams Meeting Recording
A. Sharing from SharePoint (Channel Meetings)

In Teams, go to the Files tab in the channel > open the Recordings folder.

Click the ... (More options) next to the file and select Share.

Choose a sharing option:

Click Copy Link and send via email or chat.

B. Sharing from OneDrive (Non-Channel Meetings)

Open OneDrive and go to the Recordings folder.

Click the ... next to the desired file > click Share.

Choose the appropriate sharing setting:

Copy the generated link and share as needed.
📝 Notes & Tips

Recordings are saved in .mp4 format.

Links will inherit permissions based on your selected settings.

You can download recordings for long-term storage if needed.
