Brightspace: Notification Configuration

Any user can configure what notifications they receive and how they will receive them. 

To configure notifications: 

1. From any page in Brightspace, click on your name in the upper right corner of the page 

2. Click on "Notifications" 

3. On this page, users can: 

   1. Set how often you want to receive an email digest of notifications from your courses 

   2. Choose what notifications you want to receive instantly 

      1. SMS notifications are currently available to all users but will be discontinued at the end of June 2024. If you want notifications on your cell phone, you will need to use the Pulse mobile app. See pulse mobile app tab for more information 

      2. New announcement available will be enabled by default and is strongly recommended to be left enabled. 

   3. You will be able to customize whether you want your Grade Value to be shown in the notification. 

   4. You will be able to customize if future courses can send you notifications 

   5. You will be able to exclude courses from sending notifications if you want.
