Enrolling in Microsoft’s Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR)

Summary

In this article you are enrolling in SSPR by registering an alternate authentication method ( Phone, Email, Authenticator App, etc.)

Log in to Microsoft (https://login.microsoftonline.com). Select your DeSales email or log in with your DeSales email and password.

If you are already signed in, you will see the example below:  

Select Next

Microsoft Authenticator is the default and recommended primary authentication method.

Select Next

You will be prompted to set up your account in the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Using the Microsoft Authenticator app, select the QR code button in the bottom-right. Then, use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on the computer.

You should see your DeSales University account added to the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Proceed with the enrollment on the computer.

Select Next

You will be required to verify by entering a two-digit number on the Microsoft Authenticator app. Enter the two-digit number that appears on the computer.

A message that the Authenticator was added will be displayed.

Select Done

If you are unable to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app, choose a different way to sign in.

You will receive a 6-digit code on your phone. Enter the 6-digit code to verify.

You have completed your method to Authenticate your email account
