Printing Tips

Body

At DeSales University, we want to encourage you to collaborate and distribute documents digitally, via email, MyDSU group sites, and D2L Brightspace assignments feature.

Tip: In Microsoft Word, you can track changes, compare two documents, and combine revisions from multiple authors into a single document.

In doing so, you join in the University's goals to achieve sustainability, become environmentally responsible, and reduce cost.

However, if you need to print or distribute paper copies, we recommend that you:

Print double-sided

In Microsoft Word, at the top left of the screen, click File, then Print. Under Settings, change "Print One Sided" to "Print on Both Sides."

Print 2, 3, or 4 PowerPoint slides per page

In PowerPoint, at the top left of the screen, click File, then Print. Under Settings, change "Full Page Slides" to either "2 Slides," "3 Slides," or, "4 Slides Horizontal."

Print one original document, then photocopy it to distribute multiple copies

For extra copies, get in the habit of photocopying the original document. It will become increasingly cheaper to do so as the semester goes on.

Currently, the University provides you with a number of pages you can print for the semester. As you print, you will see your DeSales Web Print count decrease. Please refer to our printing policy.
