Accessing Break Out Rooms in TEAMS for Adjunct Faculty

This free install version allows adjunct faculty to access the desktop version of Microsoft Teams.

1. Download TEAMS

Download Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams

Tip: Install both desktop and mobile apps for full functionality.

2. Access Your Course

1. Log into MyDSU
2. Open Brightspace
3. Navigate to your desired course
4. Click TEAMS+ on the top menu bar

You may be prompted to log in to TEAMS again. Use your MyDSU credentials.

3. Complete TEAMS Setup

1. Scroll down
2. Select Continue Setup

4. Using Breakout Rooms

1. Join your meeting
2. At the top menu, click Rooms
3. Click Breakout Rooms
4. On the right-hand side, find Breakout Room Settings

• Ensure your Teams app is updated
• Log in with MyDSU credentials every time
• Test breakout rooms before your actual session
