To navigate to the Teams settings please open your Teams window, click the three dots to the left of your profile thumbnail on the upper right side, and then choose “Settings”. From here then go to “Devices” on the left-hand navigation pane.
**NOTE**
** Your secondary ringer should always be set to the default audio device that plays any audio coming out of your Desktop/Laptop, such as the speakers on the device itself, or external speakers if you have those connected. This setting affects what device the ring sound will play through when a call is received**
-----
Handset (Wired phone connected via USB adapter)
If you are using the handset as your device for taking calls via Teams, please confirm you have the following settings chosen with Teams’ settings.
** Notice that both the Speaker and Microphone are set to “USB Audio Device” This is most likely what the name will be for the connected handset that is connected via USB to your computer. It is also possible you may see the term RJ-11 in the name as well.**
Bluetooth Headset
If you are using the Bluetooth Headset as your device for taking calls via Teams, please confirm you have the following settings chosen with Teams’ settings.
**As you can see the Bluetooth headsets supplied by Telecom will appear as such in the device settings. Please confirm you have these chosen for both the speaker AND the microphone.
** You may also see a similar name but it will say “headphones” instead of “headset” if that is the case, please make sure you have the headset selected.**
Wired Headset
If you are using a wired headset as your device for taking calls via Teams, please confirm you have the following settings chosen with Teams’ settings.
** The wired headset may appear under a different name depending on the brand**
